CRWRC Needs Assessment

The Linn Area Long Term Recovery Coalition is partnering with Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) Disaster Response Services to conduct a community assessment of unmet needs.

In order to be considered for future financial assistance, for help with rebuilding and for other kinds of support through the Linn Area Long Term Recovery Coalition, it is important for flood affected households to complete this assessment process.

The information gathered will be used to allocate flood assistance funds already collected and to secure additional resources to benefit residents of Linn County.

The public can direct any questions to the local United Way.

Dial 211   or   319-739-4211.

The Linn Area Long Term Recovery Coalition (LALTRC) is a partnership of more than 70 local health and human service providers, government agencies, funding sources, faith-based organizations and others dedicated to supporting collaborative long-term recovery efforts to rebuild the lives of those impacted by the Flood of 2008.

CRWRC is an international volunteer organization.  Volunteers are affectionately known as "the green shirts" throughout many disaster-affected communities where they give of their time and talents to help clear debris, assess needs and rebuild homes.  They recently provided support to the community of Parkersburg following the May tornado there and are currently at work in neighboring Buchanan County where residents are still recovering from both tornado damage and flooding.  For more information on CRWRC Disaster Response Services, visit http://www.crcna.org/pages/crwrc_drs.cfm
